All is well in Birmingham. I'm in a pretty good place to start a redraft on the critical portion of my PhD tomorrow (the title, for those playing along at home, is now "Carrying the Fire: the Use of Myth in the Post-Apocalyptic Fiction of Jeanette Winterson and Cormac McCarthy").
